A Little About Me & Homedecore
I’m Ethan Stormridge — a home decor enthusiast, DIY problem-solver, and firm believer that everyone deserves a space that genuinely makes them happy, regardless of their budget or experience level.
I don’t have a formal interior design degree. What I have is years of hands-on experience turning cramped apartments, awkward rental spaces, and starter homes into places people love coming back to. I’ve moved more times than I can count, furnished rooms on tight budgets, worked around landlord restrictions, and figured out what actually works — and what just looks good in photos but fails in real life.
I started Homedecore because I kept running into the same frustrating problem online: most home decor content is either too expensive, too complicated, or designed for homes that look nothing like the ones most of us actually live in.
I wanted to build something different — a place where real people could find real ideas that actually work in the real world. That’s what Homedecore is.

A beautiful home is a functional home. Every design choice I recommend has to work in real life — not just look gorgeous in a styled photoshoot. If a decor idea creates clutter, blocks natural light, or makes a small room feel even smaller, it doesn’t belong on this site.
Progress Over Perfection
